Kid Fic Exchange 2019
Jun. 22nd, 2019 08:05 pmDear Kid Fic Exchange Writer,
I'm
greygerbil on AO3, thank you for writing for me! Right from the start, I want to say you don’t have to do anything with my prompts, they’re just there in case you want some ideas. If it has my pairing and avoids my DNWs, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it! All ratings are great. I included a list of my general likes and smut likes which apply to all my requests. When it comes to kinks, you can include anything not listed under my DNWs; point to this part of the letter if someone asked if I opted in, I like a lot of stuff.
I have no particular preference for the age of the kids, their gender or names, or whether they’re born single, twins, triplets, whatever. I also like stories about conception, pregnancy, and childbirth. I do usually have a preference for which father gets pregnant if you go that route instead of adoption, but I’ll make note of that in the prompts.
Feel free to entirely erase the existence of canon relationships or break them up if they get in the way of the pairings I requested, whichever works best with what you’re trying to do.
Fic where the couple is not yet together but clearly in love, or on the road to getting together, or having their first time kissing/in bed together are great. However, so are established relationship fics. Whatever suits your ideas!
Some prompts may read like ideas for longer fics, but if you’re interested in them, please just grab a scene with the general idea out of the middle of those hypothetical longfics and write me that! I love fic of all length and don’t want anyone to feel like they have to go above the minimum word count. I just get excited writing prompts sometimes, heh.
Considering the number of canons I have where you slaughter your way through untold heaps of NPCs, I should also point out I generally have no problem with gore, blood, and graphic violence.

Alexios/Brasidas
Brasidas was amazing and the romance option of my heart and you can’t convince me he shouldn’t have been one. If you are in that part of the timeline with your fic, feel free to ignore the fact that he died – maybe Alexios saved him, maybe he survived with crippling injuries, or he dies and comes back, just as long as he doesn’t stay dead. I write mostly with protagonist!Alexios in mind, but feel free to rearrange the plots so they work for Deimos!Alexios, I like him, too. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Brasidas to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, Alexios’ biology being different because of the Isu taint (or, if you go for Greek mythology, because he’s got divine blood), an Isu artefact, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, or adopt Phoibe and then also have an mpreg child together, etc.

Alexios/Stentor
Alexios and Stentor have such a deliciously complicated relationship. Stentor is obviously threatened by Alexios’ presence, and Alexios is probably jealous that Stentor got to have Nikolaos as a father whereas Alexios got to be shoved off a cliff. However, considering how attached Stentor is to Nikolaos, I doubt he has any birth family that cares about him, either. He and Alexios eventually might find themselves unexpectedly able to bond over some things, especially in a fic with a family focus. They also would make a great battle couple and their verbal and physical sparring is a lot of fun. I write mostly with protagonist!Alexios in mind, but feel free to rearrange the plots so they work for Deimos!Alexios, I like him, too. If they acquire a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Stentor to carry the child.

Alexios/Brasidas/Stentor
I love closed three-way relationships with interesting dynamics and this definitely counts. Brasidas being a popular Spartan general would almost certainly have met the hand-picked adopted son of the Wolf before, after all, and they both have quite interesting relationships with Alexios. I write mostly with protagonist!Alexios in mind, but feel free to rearrange the plots so they work for Deimos!Alexios, I like him, too. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Stentor to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, Alexios’ biology being different because of the Isu taint (or, if you go for Greek mythology, because he’s got divine blood), an Isu artefact, or whatever else you can think of. Ezio Auditore da Firenze/Leonardo da Vinci
Ezio and Leonardo are such an amazing pairing. Whether you go with the timeline of the first game, when Ezio is still wilder, or the second game, when they’re both older and and perhaps even a tad wiser, I love the trust they place in each other and their banter and friendship. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Leonardo to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, Ezio’s biology being different because of the Isu taint (I assume that’s what having Eagle vision is, anyway), an Isu artefact, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Ezio having a kid with a woman and then having another one with Leonardo through adoption or mpreg, etc.

Haytham Kenway/Charles Lee
I love Haytham and Charles, villains who really respect and like each other and stand behind their idea of a world of order being what is needed for humanity where they guide the rest of us stupid sheeple humans to a better future, lol. I immensely enjoy young Charles’ senpai-notice-me dynamic with Haytham and his adoration for him; but I also love that eventually it goes both ways, when Charles becomes Haytham’s trusted second-in-command. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Charles to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, Haytham’s biology being different because of the Isu taint (I assume that’s what having Eagle vision is, anyway), an Isu artefact, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Haytham raising Connor and then having another kid with Charles through adoption or mpreg, etc.

Stentor & Nikolaos (Stentor’s Childhood)
I love Stentor and want to know how he ended up with Nikolaos. Is he Spartan by birth or is a he a trophimos, an outsider’s child fostered in the Spartan agoge, who is adopted into Spartan citizenship, or a syntrophos, a helot child training with the boys of the agoge after being adopted by a Spartan, who has to prove his skill to gain Spartan citizenship? Either way, he never mentions any other family and seems desperately attached to Nikolaos, so my headcanon is that he either doesn’t know them well/at all, they died early, or they treated him badly. I’m always here for hurt/comfort, so that would of course play into that. However, I’d also be very interested in Nikolaos’ perspective. He let two children die in the name of Sparta, why does he adopt another one? What does it feel like to raise Stentor not being able to raise his other children? What is being a single parent like after he raised his former children with his wife?

Christophe Giacometti/Georgi Popovich
This is such a crazy rarepair, but I really like their combined ridiculousness and I feel like they are just extra enough for each other. Throw in some kids and it’d surely be chaos on ice. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Georgi to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Christophe already having a kid and then having another with Georgi through adoption or mpreg, etc.

Male Shepard/Javik
Javik is possibly my favourite companion in ME3 and I love his interactions with Shepard. He’s so abrasive, but the longer you talk to him, the more you realise that the glorious Prothean empire they taught them about when he was born was really already a long lost memory in ruins and he lived his whole life in a total dystopian nightmare, only to wake up to the next apocalypse. I like Default Shepard just fine, but feel free to make him look different and give him a different first name if it fits the cultural background he has in your fic better. Paragon, Renegade or Paragade/Renegon all work, too. As for the Endings… you know, whichever one you like, as long as Shepherd lives, really! I’m not really attached to any of them and I’d also be totally fine with the blunt idea of the Crucible just being a big Reaper-targeting gun, if that suits your story better. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Javik to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of alien biology, a/b/o (or a/b/o that is alien biology?), or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Javik having a kid and then making another with Shepard, etc.

Jaal Ama Darav/Evfra de Tershaav & Child(ren)
I always thought these two would make a fascinating couple. Jaal is very much the quintessential angara with his emotional honesty, whereas Evfra seems unusually closed-off for his kind. Opposites attract! Whether it’s set before, during, or after the game, I’d find it all great. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Evfra to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of alien biology, a/b/o (or a/b/o that is alien biology?), or whatever else you can think of.

Aragorn | Estel/Boromir (Son of Denethor II) & Child(ren)
I love everything about this pairing. The tension that their positions and personalities create is just great. They are both warriors of much talent and good leaders, but in the end, Boromir is the one who has to live with his guilt of failing, since I guess Boromir Lives AUs really give the best opportunity for them to have longer plots together. But Aragorn’s return to Gondor and the ring quest didn’t exactly go without a hitch, either, and he still has to prove that old Strider can actually be a good king. Lots still to unpack there. Aragorn’s relationship with Arwen obviously stumbles into my infidelity DNW, so if they are broken up or never got together in the first place, that’d be great. If Aragorn and Boromir have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Aragorn to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of fantasy biology, a/b/o (or a/b/o that is fantasy biology?), or whatever else you can think of.
Éomer Éadig/Faramir (Son of Denethor II) & Child(ren)
I feel like these two have the potential to be quite an interesting pairing. They seem fairly different in temper, but not so much so that they would not get along at all, for they also share a lot of values. Whether they get together through an arranged marriage or because they just fell in love after the war, it would be fun to see more of them together. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Faramir to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of fantasy biology, a/b/o (or a/b/o that is fantasy biology?), or whatever else you can think of.

T’Challa/M’Baku
I love this pairing so much. It already had so many of my favourite tropes, what with T’Challa sparing M’Baku knowing that he is needed by his tribe, M’Baku wanting T’Challa out of the way but then actually saving him, and of course that scene in the end where he shows up with reinforcements. Just a lot of good stuff. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for M’Baku to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, a new Wakandan science invention of fully functioning artifical wombs (inside somebody or not), or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like M’Baku already has some, but then they adopt/have another, etc.

Fitzwilliam Darcy/Charles Bingley
Bingley and Darcy have such a great relationship in the novel and obviously are already very fond of each other, so it shouldn’t be difficult to push that a little further. (This could be pre-canon or canon divergence, but I’d rather the women they end up married to in canon were not in the story as their lovers.) If they get married, I’m happy with a marriage that’s symbolic/just for them (since they cannot actually get married in their time period) or an AU where same-sex marriage was always allowed even in their time. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Bingley to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Darcy already having a kid and then adopting/having another with Bingley, etc.

Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth
The stern, duty-bound lord, the knight with the undying loyalty who despite that does not fear to tell him the truth and is valued for this quality... what is there not to love about these two? I’ll never get tired of the fanfic and I’m always happy to have more. Feel free to tweak Westeros so that homosexuality is accepted and gay marriage allowed and/or mpreg possible if you want. But you can also stick much closer to canon. I know it’s pretty difficult to avoid my cheating DNW while staying in the canon timeline here, so feel free to handwave their marriages away (annulled? they were widowed? divorce is allowed in Westeros? the wives have their own lovers and/or they are separated, if still married in law?) or have them never happen. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Davos to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of a/b/o, magic, “some men can get pregnant because of reasons”, or whatever else you can think of. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Stannis is already raising Renly and Davos has a couple kids, but then they adopt/have another, etc.

Ned Stark/Davos Seaworth
This couple could be very interesting, I think. Ned is also quite stern in applying the law, but unlike Stannis, he has no personal debt to Davos. Davos really only seems to know Stannis and his retainers well among the lords. However, I think they have quite compatible personalities. Salladhor Saan/Davos Seaworth & Child(ren)
I think the friendship between Salla and Davos is just really fun and would like to see it taken to the next level. Salla is such an unapologetically flamboyant type and Davos is so grounded and yet they do seem to have genuine affection for each other. Feel free to tweak Westeros so that homosexuality is accepted and gay marriage allowed and/or mpreg possible if you want. But you can also stick much closer to canon. I know it’s pretty difficult to avoid my cheating DNW while staying in the canon timeline here, so feel free to handwave Davos’ marriage away (annulled? widowed? divorce is allowed in Westeros? Marya has her own lover and/or they are separated, if still married in law?) or have them never happen. Also, Salla, as we know, is a rogue. I’m fine with him having his lovers and concubines as long as Davos is aware of it and it’s not a super serious relationship yet, but if they ever do get serious, I’d like him to eventually be faithful to Davos. Also, feel free to have Salladhor and Davos already have other children than the ones they adopt/have together.

Alexios/Brasidas & Alexios’ Chil(dren)
- If you go for all the romance options, Alexios gets around, so it wouldn’t surprise me if at some point someone put a child in Alexios’ arms and was like, here, I don’t need this, you deal with it. So Alexios is stuck with his baby/child. Luckily, Brasidas is a good friend/boyfriend who is here to help him. Maybe they grow from friends to lovers while taking care of the child, or they’re already lovers and realise they like the idea of raising a family together.
- If you count in the DLCs, Alexios canonically has a child, Elpidios, whose other parent died. Maybe he doesn’t decide to give him away but wants to try raising him despite the dangers. Brasidas, being his friend, offers his help. This brings them closer together.
- Alexios accidentally picks up a little fan when back in Sparta, maybe an orphan like Phoibe. Because of what happened to her he’s hesitant, but he really does like the child. Brasidas convinces him to give it a shot because he knows Alexios will do his best. However, Brasidas gets drawn into this little family unit as well.
- The cult was very keen on encouraging Deimos!Alexios to breed to continue that special bloodline. Deimos!Alexios isn’t about to leave his kid(s) with them, especially since they probably get put through the same hell he went through. He asks for Brasidas’ help in getting the kid(s) back. Once he has them, however, he’s not quite sure what to do with them, as he’s not exactly used to being a caring father, and Brasidas decides to help out once more. Brasidas and him grow closer over this (whether they started out as friends or boyfriends or in that weird we’re-definitely-just-sleeping-together-no-feelings zone).
Alexios/Brasidas & Brasidas’ Child(ren)
- Typically, Spartan men were supposed to be married by 30 or faced sanctions and Brasidas is way past that. They were also supposed to make many new little Spartan warriors. Brasidas entered a marriage of convenience with a woman with similar motives and they had a child (or several). However, his wife died or left Sparta for some reason. Alexios, accidentally or not, grows into the role of stepdad. It only makes Brasidas like him more, and he already liked him a lot.
- Brasidas was married out of love (to a woman or a man if mpreg is possible), but his spouse died a while ago and now he’s a single father. Alexios, accidentally or not, grows into the role of stepdad. It only makes Brasidas like him more, and he already liked him a lot.
- Brasidas decides to adopt the child(ren) of his dead brother/sister or of a good friend who fell in battle and who don’t have anyone else. He tells his boyfriend Alexios he doesn’t expect him to be a parent. Alexios is happy to start building a family with Brasidas, though.
Alexios/Brasidas & Child(ren)
- Brasidas does not participate (and die) in the battle of Amphipolis because he’s quite heavily pregnant with Alexios’ child. Alexios, who was so focused on reassembling his old family, gets a new addition, too.
- Alexios has taken care of the cult and decides he would like to have a family with Brasidas. Their first child was recently born (or adopted) and they find themselves musing over their own childhoods and wondering how they’ll do as parents.
- Alexios and Brasidas have an oopsie baby that Alexios only learns of when he meets Brasidas after a lengthy absence and finds him holding a newborn.
- Honestly, Alexios and Brasidas training their child(ren) would be great. Alexios is probably worried the cult will snatch them and perhaps going a bit overboard and Brasidas reminds him they will still be there to protect their family.
- The cult actually does kidnap their child(ren). Alexios and Brasidas rescue them.
Alexios/Brasidas & Phoibe (Phoibe Adopted)
- Alexios manages to get to Phoibe in time before she is killed. Convinced that she’s probably safer on his ship than in Athens (and that’s saying something), he takes her with him. When they meet Brasidas again, the three of them have a sort of family dynamic. Alexios only falls deeper in love with Brasidas because of it.
- Phoibe survives and comes to Sparta with Alexios, where she meets his friend (or lover) Brasidas. Alexios and Phoibe settling into Spartan life with Brasidas’ help would be great.
- Alexios isn’t here for any of this loved ones dying stuff. He finds a way to go to Hades and get both Brasidas and Phoibe back. (Whether you go with the Isu-Hades we see in the DLC or make an AU where the Greek gods are real, both is great.) They adopt her after they all return to the world of the living.
Alexios/Stentor & Alexios’ Child(ren)
- If you go for all the romance options, Alexios gets around, so it wouldn’t surprise me if at some point someone put a child in Alexios’ arms and was like, here, I don’t need this, you deal with it. So Alexios is stuck with this baby/child. Luckily, Stentor takes his role as uncle (or boyfriend) rather serious, meaning Alexios has some help. Maybe they grow into lovers while taking care of the child, or they’re already lovers and realise they like the idea of raising a family together.
- If you count in the DLCs, Alexios canonically has a child, Elpidios, whose other parent died. Maybe he doesn’t decide to give him away but wants to try raising him despite the dangers. Stentor, who may have his problems with Alexios but doesn’t want a child to die, either, decides to help. This brings them closer together.
- Alexios accidentally picks up a little fan when back in Sparta, maybe an orphan like Phoibe. Because of what happened to her he’s hesitant, but he really does like the child. To his surprise, Stentor encourages him, because (though he may not put it like that) he knows Alexios will do his best and he remembers what it was like being an orphan himself. However, Stentor gets drawn into this little family unit as well.
- The cult was very keen on encouraging Deimos!Alexios to breed to continue that special bloodline. Deimos!Alexios isn’t about to leave his kid(s) with them, especially since they probably get put through the same hell he went through. He asks for Stentor’s help in getting the kid(s) back. Once he has them, however, he’s not quite sure what to do with them, as he’s not exactly used to being a caring father, and Stentor decides to help out once more (ostensibly just so no kids end up dead, but perhaps he likes Deimos!Alexios already). Stentor and him grow closer over this (whether they started out as friends or boyfriends or in that weird we’re-definitely-just-sleeping-together-no-feelings zone).
Alexios/Stentor & Stentor’s Child(ren)
- Stentor is a good little Spartan, and good little Spartans got married to make more good little Spartans. Maybe he entered a marriage of convenience with a woman (or with a man, if mpreg is possible) with similar motives and they had a child (or several). However, his wife/husband died or left Sparta for some reason, leaving him alone with the kid(s). Alexios meets Stentor’s kid(s) and wants to be an uncle, but it turns out he ends up filling more of a stepdad role. Stentor, meanwhile, is desperately trying to still dislike Alexios while he’s being generally likeable and then on top of that good with his child(ren). It doesn’t work.
- Stentor found himself an orphan to adopt as well, since that’s how he came to his father. Alexios hopes to get along with the kid, since they’re family. To his surprise, him and Stentor start getting along better, too. Like, way better...
- Stentor decides to adopt the child(ren) of a good friend who fell in battle and who don’t have anyone else. He tells his boyfriend Alexios he doesn’t expect him to be a parent. Alexios is happy to start building a family with Stentor, though.
Alexios/Stentor & Child(ren)
- Alexios and Stentor meet before Megaris, not knowing who the other is, and have a brief affair. When Alexios meets Stentor again in Boeotia, he has a small child with him that looks a whole lot like Alexios. How do they handle this? Stentor eventually learns Alexios didn’t kill his father, but the relationship is still strained. Alexios knows this child will be in danger (and so is Stentor for having it), and besides, it’s his kid, so he’s not just going to leave. Would love it if they started developing/rediscovering feelings.
- Similarly, Alexios and Stentor have an oopsie baby at some point after Boeotia that Alexios only learns of when he meets Stentor after a lengthy absence and finds him holding a newborn.
- Alexios got Stentor pregnant on purpose, but then he’s kept by the cult/something else very important and doesn’t make it back to Sparta in time for the birth, but only a little later. Alexios meeting his newborn child would be great.
- Alexios has taken care of the cult and decides he would like to have a family with Stentor. Their first child was recently born (or adopted) and they find themselves musing over their own childhoods and wondering how they’ll do as parents.
- Honestly, Alexios and Stentor training their child(ren) would be great. Alexios is probably worried the cult will snatch them and perhaps going a bit overboard and Stentor reminds him they will still be there to protect their family.
- The cult actually does kidnap their child(ren). Alexios and Stentor rescue them.
Alexios/Stentor & Phoibe (Phoibe Adopted)
- Alexios manages to get to Phoibe in time before she is killed. Convinced that she’s probably safer on his ship than in Athens (and that’s saying something), he takes her with him. When they meet Stentor (and he has been convinced not to kill Alexios), Alexios finds to his surprise that Stentor gets along with Phoibe quite well, possibly having a soft spot for orphans because he was one himself. Stentor, meanwhile, is impressed that Alexios chose to raise a kid. This all brings Stentor and Alexios closer.
- Phoibe survives and comes to Sparta with Alexios, where she eventually meets his adopted brother (and maybe lover) Stentor. Alexios and Phoibe settling into Spartan life with Stentor’s reluctant help would be great.
- Alexios asks Stentor to come to Hades with him to save Phoibe. They decide to adopt her once they return to the surface. (Whether you go with the Isu-Hades we see in the DLC or make an AU where the Greek gods are real, both is great.)
Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, or adopt Phoibe and then also have an mpreg child together, etc.
Alexios/Brasidas/Stentor & Child(ren)
- After Amphipolis, Brasidas is not fit for combat anymore. Obviously that is a big upset for a Spartan general and Brasidas feels a bit useless. His lovers decide that maybe they could cheer him up by starting to plan their future, which is still going to happen even if Brasidas isn’t in armour anymore, after all. Now that Brasidas is permanently at home, it’s much more feasible to adopt/have some kids, too. Alternatively, I’d also love a snapshot of their life with the kid(s) after Brasidas has settled a bit into civilian life.
- Stentor is pregnant/just had the baby. Brasidas and Alexios don’t know who the father is and don’t care, they are all the fathers.
- Alexios decides he doesn’t want to pass on his bloodline because it’s too dangerous and tries to make sure that Brasidas will be the one getting Stentor pregnant, but when Stentor gives birth and the spear glows when the child touches it, it becomes clear they weren’t careful enough. Stentor and Brasidas reassure him that they’ll keep the kid safe.
- Just a family scene with the dynamic between the three dads and their kid(s) would be great.
- One of them befriends an orphan child and pretty much accidentally brings them into the relationship. The three of them eventually realise they pretty much have a kid now (at the latest when they fight over parenting decisions for the first time).
Alexios/Brasidas/Stentor & Phoibe (Phoibe Adopted)
- Alexios and Stentor are not willing to let their lover go. Stentor knows a rumour that there’s a way to get into Hades. Alexios decides that if they’re already going to the land of the dead, they also have to pick up Phoibe. Phoibe gets three dads on her return to the surface. (Whether you go with the Isu-Hades we see in the DLC or make an AU where the Greek gods are real, both is great.)
- Phoibe survives and comes to Sparta with Alexios, where she eventually meets his lovers, Stentor and Brasidas. Alexios and Phoibe settling into Spartan life with Stentor’s and Brasidas’ help would be great. Alexios probably doesn’t tell Phoibe he’s in a relationship with both these guys, but she figures it out. It’s alright, though, having three dads can make up for the fact that she didn’t have any parents for a while now.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze/Leonardo da Vinci & Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s Child(ren)
- Okay, so let’s be real, Ezio must have a few oopsie babies running around, right? Could even be from before his family got killed, he obviously got around in his youth; but it’s not like he stopped that afterwards, either. Maybe one of the mothers doesn’t fancy raising his child anymore and sends the kid with him. Luckily, Ezio has a good friend in Leonardo who will watch the child for him until he can get the kid to Monteriggioni. But maybe they get closer over raising the kid together…
- On the other hand, how does Leonardo feel about being handed Ezio’s kid if they’re already in a relationship? Is he happy for the trust, or worried that Ezio may still be having fun out there (especially if the age of the child suggests that Ezio was cutting it close to when their relationship started). How can Ezio bring him around?
- If Leonardo is in love with Ezio, minding Ezio’s child could probably hurt quite a bit, even if he likes the child. He knows he should be honoured Ezio trusts him as much, but that’s not all he wants from him. Of course, Ezio doesn’t only have platonic feelings for Leonardo, either.
Ezio Auditore da Firenze/Leonardo da Vinci & Child(ren)
- One of Ezio’s fellow assassins is killed and leaves behind a child with no one to care for them. Somehow, Ezio is the one who ends up in charge of the kid and Leonardo gets drawn into it (whether they are already together or get together while parenting).
- Leonardo is pregnant by Ezio. Ezio, who is busy in another part of the world, only finds out when he returns to Leonardo and their baby. Alternatively, he finds out when the Templars kidnap pregnant Leonardo (or Leonardo and their child).
- Leonardo and Ezio decide to have/adopt a child. Their thoughts on this and first parenting attempts would be great.
- Leonardo is teaching their child(ren) to paint and see nature and technology the way he does. Ezio is teaching their child(ren) to kill. Somehow, this family works out rather well, anyway.
Haytham Kenway/Charles Lee & Charles Lee’s Child(ren)
- Charles is an omega/man who can get pregnant and had a child with Braddock or Birch, which was a stipulation for being accepted into the Order. Haytham kills both of these guys at some point for unrelated reasons, but maybe he already has an idea who should replace the now missing second dad. Meanwhile, Charles never liked Birch/Braddock, anyway, and if Master Kenway said they had to die, well…
- Historically, Charles Lee had twins with his native American wife. Somehow, perhaps as the marriage drifts/breaks apart, he ends up in charge of them and Haytham becomes step-daddy.
- In the two years in which Haytham is not in America but looking for his sister/hunting Birch, Charles gets pregnant or gets a woman pregnant and ends up raising a little child by himself. When Haytham returns, they get closer over parenting the child together and eventually start dating.
Haytham Kenway/Charles Lee & Ratonhnhaké:ton | Conner (Ratonhnhaké:ton | Conner adopted)
- Charles and/or Haytham arrive a few hours later at Connor’s village than Charles does in-game and find Connor in the burned-down rubble. Charles and/or Haytham know he’s Haytham’s son, so they take him home and raise him a Templar. Would be absolutely here for some family fluff, Haytham teaching Connor his assassin tricks – maybe practising on an unsuspecting Charles –, Connor befriending Charles’ gaggle of dogs, and so on (with that little whisper in the back that they are raising him into the bad guy club…)
- I also would be here for Charles at first not being at all enthusiastic that he now has to help raise Haytham’s son, who is proof of the fact that Haytham will never be interested in him (obviously he likes women), but he does it anyway since he’d do anything for Haytham. Then he starts to like Connor and of course Haytham is also in love with Charles.
- An AU where, through adopting Connor and making him their ally, they eventually get their hands on a powerful Isu artefact and make Haytham king of America and Connor the prince. Royal Templar Family!
Haytham Kenway/Charles Lee & Child(ren)
- Haytham’s own childhood was pretty difficult, what with his father dying when he was so young, his sister being taken away, and so on. Charles was raised into the military by his dad. What do they intend on doing differently with their own children? And what does a Templar education even look like? Would love a fic about them educating their kids, or about them contemplating how they’ll do it when their newborn/adopted child is there.
- Haytham and Charles have intentionally planned a family by mpreg/adoption and are now nervous new parents.
- Haytham and Charles accidentally befriend and orphan child that keeps playing with Charles’ Pomeranian or something. The accidentally (and then deliberately) adopt the kid.
- Charles is an omega/man who can get pregnant and the Order says he has to have a kid with a Templar to be taken into the brotherhood. Haytham, after getting to know Charles, volunteers. Charles is overjoyed.
- Haytham and Charles with a big family? Maybe Haytham really wanted to make up for the fact that he never got to experience family in that way and so he is happy to build one with Charles.
Assassin’s Creed (Childhood)
- Maybe Nikolaos told himself he would never have children again after what happened with his last family. How does Stentor get his attention? What convinces Nikolaos to adopt him?
- Nikolaos starts preferring Stentor not because he wants another child, but because he will do everything for Sparta and one thing Sparta demands of its men is that they raise strong sons. Since he doesn’t want to get married again, Nikolaos dutifully picks out a talented boy without a family to adopt, figuring he can shape him into a good soldier. However, as time goes by and he realises how attached and grateful Stentor is, it gets harder and harder not to like him.
- Stentor tells Alexios/Kassandra that while Nikolaos was a good father, he sometimes “got a faraway look in his eyes” and he sensed a sadness there, which he also connected with regrets, so it seems that even if Nikolaos did not speak about it, it was clear enough to Stentor he missed his former family. What was it like for little Stentor knowing that his father was still grieving his other children? Did he try to make up for their loss? Was he worried he would never live up to the family Nikolaos gave up?
- Stentor’s age is one of these things that gets especially lost to Odyssey’s nonsense timeline, but let’s say he was young when Alexios and Kassandra were “killed”, or as a helot or outsider just didn’t hear about it, and so Nikolaos has to tell him what happened to his family. How does Stentor take that? Is he frightened he’s going off the mountain, too, if he doesn’t behave? Does it convince him to prove himself?
- Stentor called Nikolaos “caring in his way”, and we saw he was strict in practice with Kassandra/Alexios, too. I would like to see a moment where Nikolaos, who comes off as stern and not very loving at first glance, shows Stentor that he can rely on him as a parent. Maybe Stentor gets hurt or sick or is afraid of something and worried to speak of it, as a Spartan boy should always be strong.
- I’d love any story about Stentor trying his best to prove himself to Nikolaos and Nikolaos being proud of his talents and teaching him new skills and watching him succeed by putting them into practice. However, I’d also love a story where perhaps Stentor only makes second place or something in a contest and Nikolaos, though he is a strict parent, sees that maybe he has put a bit too much pressure on him and reassures him that although he does want Stentor to do well, he’s not going to kick him out over a lost wrestling contest or whatever.
Yuri!!! on Ice
Christophe Giacometti/Georgi Popovich & Christophe Giacometti’s Child(ren)
- Chris is raising a child as a single dad from a former relationship/one-night-stand. The kid slips away during a competition and bumps into Georgi. Georgi is surprisingly good with children. Suddenly, he and Chris have something new to talk about.
- Chris hasn’t really been dating seriously because it’s difficult with a kid and a sports career. But when Georgi comes to Switzerland for a season to train at the same rink, they get closer and actually have fun as a little family, too.
- One of Chris’ fellow students, pre-junior or junior, has really taken a liking to him and doesn’t have much of a family otherwise, at least not an involved one. Chris feels basically like a dad to them. So when Chris gets Georgi as a boyfriend and it seems serious, obviously he has to meet ‘his’ kid.
Christophe Giacometti/Georgi Popovich & Child(ren)
- A few years down the line, Georgi and Chris end up working at the same rink as coaches. One of the up-and-comings there has very rich but very absent parents. They kind of become the de-facto fathers, even though nominally they’re not.
- When their careers as professionals wind down, Georgi and Chris decided to start a family via mpreg or adoption. What types of parents would these two make? How do the first days with their newborn/newly adopted kid go? What do they imagine for the kid’s future?
- Chris accidentally gets Georgi pregnant. This is obviously a big problem for Georgi’s career, but then again, Georgi was already old for a skater. Them dealing with a newborn, growing out of their first profession in general (Chris isn’t super young anymore, either, for a professional skater), and of course falling in love (if they aren’t already) would be great.
- Chris and Georgi training their child to become a professional ice skater would be really cute. But I also wouldn’t mind if they had a child who wasn’t all that interested in ice skating, and maybe Georgi teaches them about classical music or acting or whatever, and Christ teaches... whatever skills Chris has that are appropriate to teach to a child (proper cat keeping!).
Mass Effect Trilogy
Male Shepard/Javik & Javik's Child(ren)
- In the wake of the last big Reaper attack, Javik collects an orphaned child in some ruined place or another (could be human or any other species). He intends to bring the child to someone who can watch it, but is stuck with it and eventually bonds with the small primitive. Shepard comes in as second parent and they grow closer doing something that’s not warfare for once.
- To serve the Prothean empire better in the new cycle and continue their species, Javik was carrying fertilised eggs inside him (they look like insects, so I guess that’s what it’d be? Can also just be normal human-style babies, too, though). Javik figured they simply hadn’t survived the period he spent in stasis. However, he realises eventually that they just needed a little longer to thaw than the rest of him and now he has a Prothean baby/babies. Maybe he already is with Shepard at this point. How does he react? Even if not, what does he think about it? Does he help Javik with the parenting, and how much more qualified is he for it, actually?
- Let’s say Protheans are like asari in that they can create children with any other species and make more Protheans that way. Now that the Reapers are beaten Javik figures he should do his job for the empire and at least try to ensure the Protheans don’t totally die out and collects himself some genes from a random person who wants to try bedding a Prothean. Shepard is intrigued with this whole process and they end up getting closer
Male Shepard/Javik & Child(ren)
- Same prompt as above but with a twists: Let’s say Protheans are like asari in that they can create children with any other species and make more Protheans that way. Now that the Reapers are beaten Javik figures he should do his job for the empire and at least try to ensure the Protheans don’t totally die out. Either he asks Shepard because Shepard is strong and would make a good mate (and also probably because he’s in love…), or Shepard volunteers because he likes him and they all almost got wiped off the face of the universe, so whatever, no time like the present to start a family.
- Shepard and Javik accidentally adopt a war orphan (of any species).
- Shepard and Javik have been together for a while and decide they’d like to try settling down for a bit when they survived the end times, considering Javik has never done anything but fight and Shepard hasn’t had a great time lately himself. They also want a family, but having the kid brings back memories to their own childhoods, too. What were they like? And how do they plan to raise their child? What is it like for Javik to know his child may not actually be forced to become a soldier and may grow up in a way that wasn’t the norm for like 200 years by the time Javik was born? Does Shepard still have any other family? What was his family like?
- Shepard accidentally gets Javik pregnant. Neither of them expected their biology to be this compatible, but now they have to deal with the resulting child(ren).
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Jaal Ama Darav/Evfra de Tershaav & Child(ren)
I always thought these two would make a fascinating couple. Jaal is very much the quintessential angara with his emotional honesty, whereas Evfra seems unusually closed-off for his kind. Opposites attract! Whether it’s set before, during, or after the game, I’d find it all great. If they have a child by way of mpreg, I’d prefer for Evfra to carry the child. Mpreg can be the result of alien biology, a/b/o (or a/b/o that is alien biology?), or whatever else you can think of.
- Mpreg is always good. Give me tiny catsquids! Was it planned? Was it an accident? Are they even together yet?
- Evfra has lost his whole family. Has he lost children, too? What does it feel like for him to have/adopt new ones? Is Jaal overjoyed or trying to be more cautious knowing about Evfra’s hang-ups, or does he have worries of his own, considering the difficult situation the angara are in?
- Evfra and Jaal teaching their children how to fight but also perhaps some less martial angaran customs.
- Their child(ren) get kidnapped by the kett. Evfra, who has already lost his whole family (and maybe also children) to the kett, is having a minor mental breakdown, but of course Jaal is also out of his mind with worry. They go save their children, alone, with the Resistance, or maybe with the help of the Pathfinder?
- Evfra and Jaal adopt a war orphan or several, whether on purporse or just kind of because the kid(s) keep(s) hanging around Resistance HQ. In the latter case, maybe they also realise their attraction to each other while they watch the other parenting.
- Angarans are all about family, but Evfra has been withdrawn since he lost his family. Now that he has a child/children with Jaal, however, or is at least pregnant, he won’t be able to avoid the family forever. What is it like for Evfra, Jaal, and their child(ren) to interact with the angaran family cluster?
The Lord of the Rings
- An arranged marriage would typically be done to also ensure the existence of heirs, so whether they get one by mpreg or by adoption, they might feel like they have to do it, even when they’re not yet sure of their own relationship yet. Aragorn and Boromir getting closer while raising their newborn/adopted child would be great.
- They accidentally end up with a child somewhere on the way, either because an orphan runs after them (probably close to the end of the journey, as they wouldn’t have allowed a child to be dragged through too many dangers) or because Aragorn gets pregnant.
- Aragorn and Boromir being badass and rescuing their child(ren) from evil is always appreciated.
- Aragorn used an old spell to revive Boromir, but that placed a little part of Boromir's being in Aragorn. Result: Aragorn is pregnant and eventually gives birth to Boromir's kid.
- Aragorn and Boromir met before the ring war and Aragorn got pregnant, but through a series of duties keeping them and other mishaps, the two never managed to meet again. In Rivendell, Aragorn introduces to Boromir to his young son/daughter.
- Which traditions/rituals do Gondor and Dúnedain culture have surrounding the birth/upbringing of children? Which ones do they incorporate?
- How would Aragorn and Boromir raise a child/children? They had fairly different upbringings and may not want to copy everything, anyway. Does Aragorn teach them about the ways of the Rangers, too, even if they’ll probably never live that sort of life? I’d also love them talking about their own childhoods.
- An arranged marriage would typically be done to also ensure the existence of heirs, so whether they get one by mpreg or by adoption, they might feel like they have to do it, even when they’re not yet sure of their own relationship yet. Éomer and Faramir getting closer while raising their newborn/adopted child would be great.
- Faramir is not someone who enjoys fighting, but if bad guys took their child(ren), I’m sure he would be right there with Éomer to save them.
- I love the culture of Rohan and would be happy to hear something about how they treat their kids. Do they learn to ride before they walk? (Does Faramir worry they’ll fall off?) Maybe they get a pony or foal gifted to them for their birth? Alternatively, which traditions/rituals of the culture of Gondor do they incoporate into child-rearing?
- How would Faramir and Éomer raise a child/children? They grew up in different sorts of societies and may not want to copy everything, anyway. I’d also love them talking about their own childhoods.
Marvel Cinematic Universe
T’Challa/M’Baku & M’Baku’s Child(ren)
- M’Baku says he has kids in the movie. Could have been part of the joke, but maybe it’s true? And maybe he’s been left widowed or he was a single dad from the start and now those children could use a step-dad... and maybe M’Baku can’t help but start to like T’Challa even better when he sees how good he is with them.
- Just a scene of M’Baku introducing his new boyfriend T’Challa to his kids and T’Challa desperately trying to make a good impression. How does it go?
- M’Baku is a single parent, so when they marry T’Challa decides to adopt his kids and make M’Baku’s oldest child heir to the throne.
T’Challa/M’Baku & Child(ren)
- An arranged marriage (which they may enter because of some old tradition, to reintegrate M’Baku’s tribe, or for another reason) would typically be done to also ensure the existence of heirs, so whether they get one by mpreg or by adoption, they might feel like they have to do it, even when they’re not yet sure of their own relationship yet. T’Challa and M’Baku getting closer while raising their newborn/adopted child would be great.
- Wakandan scientists, Shuri among them, figure out a way for same-sex couples to have children, but one of them has to carry it. Since there was always the problem of having a biological heir for T’Challa and M’Baku (because T’Challa is the king and all), they jump on it. M’Baku figures since he’s not the one who ate the heart-shaped herb, it’s better if he does the deed (or maybe he’s worried about T’Challa, whether he admits it or not, and would rather experiments are done on his own body).
- M’Baku’s tribe was always kinda removed from the others. What different child-rearing traditions and rituals and expectations do they have? How do M'Baku and T'Challa reconcile them with the general Wakandan way of doing things?
- M’Baku and T’Challa aren’t really in a relationship, but M’Baku gets pregnant anyway. Maybe they were already in love or maybe they grow closer while caring about their newborn.
- M’Baku and T’Challa adopt an orphan, whether they plan to or it just kinda happens.
- M’Baku and T’Challa going on an adventure to find more heart-shaped herb for their child(ren), and maybe using the chance to talk about what they hope of for their child(ren) growing up.
Pride & Prejudice
Fitzwilliam Darcy/Charles Bingley & Charles Bingley’s Child(ren)
- Bingley absolutely seems like the kind of guy who might end up with an oopsie baby. To protect the mother’s honour and identity (or because it’s an mpreg baby), Bingley raises the child by himself – at least until Darcy comes along.
- Bingley got pregnant by someone who is not ready to take responsibility and marry, or who Bingley doesn’t want to marry. Darcy is here to make sure Bingley and his child are alright... perhaps by marrying him to legitimise the child, or by taking care of him and the child while pining quietly (until it’s hopefully resolved).
- Bingley ended up making friends with a little orphan child and eventually decides to take them in and raise them. Darcy decides that he should make sure the child grows up right (and this doesn’t become another Wickham situation), so obviously he has to help with parenting and him and Bingley quickly get even closer.
Fitzwilliam Darcy/Charles Bingley & Fitzwilliam Darcy’s Child(ren)
- Years ago, Darcy had a youthful indescretion and the result is a child he raises alone (to protect the mother’s, or, in an mpreg case, father’s honour and identity). Bingley gets along fabulously with the child. It makes it even more difficult for Darcy not to love him.
- Darcy has a little orphan in his household or in the neighbourhood, but because of Wickham, he’s gotten very careful with this sort of situation, even if he feels very fatherly towards the child. Bingley (his boyfriend or friend at this point) is the one to assuage his fears and convince him to really take the child in.
Fitzwilliam Darcy/Charles Bingley & Child(ren)
- Darcy and Bingley are married and decide to have/adopt an heir/heirs. What is parenting like for these two? Are their approaches very different? Does Bingley’s easy nature collide with Darcy trying to make stricter rules sometimes?
- Darcy accidentally gets Bingley pregnant. Of course they get married, but Bingley isn’t sure if Darcy is just doing it for the child or to save Bingley’s honour (which is not the case, Darcy loves him). Them figuring their relationship out during the marriage while also getting used to the newborn would be interesting.
- Darcy and Bingley have a clandestine relationship they consider a marriage (though it’s not allowed) and decide to adopt some children (one of them each, at least) so the pressure to marry for heirs is alleviated. They will be raising the kids together, of course.
- Some family fluff would be great! Maybe Darcy, while being reasonable, is also a very nervous new parent? And Bingley manages to calm him down a little bit?
A Song of Ice and Fire
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth & Renly Baratheon (Stannis/Davos raising Renly)
- Stannis is trapped in Storm’s End with Renly, where Renly also meets Davos. They get along splendidly, which is one of the reasons it’s very difficult for Stannis not to fall for Davos.
- When the war is over, Stannis considers it would be best if Renly was raised at court with him, but he doesn’t know if he’ll have time what with his new tasks. Davos encourages the idea and promises to help.
- Little Renly thinks Stannis should definitely marry the nice knight who is always telling him stories about pirates and showed him how to do sailor’s knots and sets about making sure that happens.
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth & Davos Seaworth’s Child(ren)
- Davos has his first two, three sons already when he meets Stannis’, but he and his wife split (or any other reason he’s left a single parent) and now Davos raises them. Stannis wants to help his knight, since he feels responsible for Davos’ family, but maybe because he has a bit of a crush on him, too. How does young Stannis fare as a step-dad?
- Davos has all his sons (and they’re still alive), but is suddenly left a single father for one reason or another. He takes Steff and little Stannis over to court/Dragonstone/wherever they are as well. Now the whole place is pretty much teeming with Davos descendants. Stannis likes it a lot.
- Davos came to Storm’s End heavily pregnant by someone who definitely won’t care and gives birth to the kid during the siege. Stannis accidentally slides into the role of father.
- For an AU, let’s say Davos’ sons were born of him, not of his wife (or at least however many of them would already exist at whatever time you want to set this). Stannis’ marriage got annulled because he and his wife didn’t have any children. Solution: Stannis is made to marry Davos, who has already proven fertile. He may not be a great choice status-wise, but hey, at least he’ll probably give heirs if Stannis can manage it this time.
- Davos has a little cabin boy (or even girl) whom he picked up from the street and cares for a lot. Stannis decides to honour that by making sure the kid gets an education and such. They accidentally become parents to the child.
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth & Stannis Baratheon’s Child(ren)
- Davos becoming an active step-dad to Shireen would be sweet. Maybe he can even help Stannis to express his affecton for his daughter.
- Stannis is left a single father early in his marriage, maybe because Selyse leaves him and the baby. Luckily he still has Davos, who is happy to help. Maybe they even have to go through Shireen’s period of greyscale together and Davos falls (deeper) in love with Stannis seeing how he fights for his daughter?
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth & Both’s Child(ren)
- Stannis and Davos raise their children in one big blended family situation. (Could be Modern AU or canon.)
- Shireen getting along with Davos’ younger boys (and having the older ones for big brothers/uncle types) could be great. Do people criticise Stannis for letting her hang about with ‘lowborn’ kids so much? Does he care in any way? I mean, he also considers their lowborn father very good company...
- Not so much Stannis’ “child”, but Renly is about the age of some of Davos’ children, so Stannis and Davos raising Renly while also raising Davos’ older sons and getting together to form a family would be great.
Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth & Child(ren)
- Stannis and Davos have a brief affair at Storm’s End/before Dragonstone. Then more war interferes. The next time Stannis meets Davos, he’s pregnant/holding a newborn. Davos doesn’t think Stannis will just take his word that it’s his child, but Stannis trusts Davos (and Davos did not lie to him).
- Stannis and Davos adopting/having an heir and being new parents would be great. How does Stannis fare around a little baby? How does Davos?
- How does their class difference influence the way they raise their children? Does Davos have different priorities, maybe a blind spot for the things noble children must know? Does Stannis appreciate the input Davos has?
- I also like King Stannis AUs or AUs where Stannis had to flee to Essos after Robert's rebellion failed and becomes leader of a mercenary company or something. How would them having kids go in those situations?
Ned Stark/Davos Seaworth
This couple could be very interesting, I think. Ned is also quite stern in applying the law, but unlike Stannis, he has no personal debt to Davos. Davos really only seems to know Stannis and his retainers well among the lords. However, I think they have quite compatible personalities. Also, feel free to mix and match the prompts so that they acquire different children in different ways, like Ned is already raising Jon and Davos has a couple kids, but then they adopt/have another, etc.
Ned Stark/Davos Seaworth & Jon Snow (Ned/Davos raising Jon Snow)
- Ned meets Davos during the war and marries him, thinking it’s fine since he’s not the heir and Davos is a knight, after all. However, his brother is killed close to the end of the war. Now Ned has two dead siblings, baby Jon, Winterfell, and a husband who is a former smuggler whom he now has to take beyond the Neck. How do they deal with it all? And does Davos (who is around during the war and may have ridden with his husband at times) find out about Jon’s parentage?
- Ned’s older brother lives and went on to marry Catelyn and rule in Winterfell. Ned stays with Robert in King’s Landing with Jon. At court, he meets Davos, Stannis’ knight, who is always sweet with the baby and generally a very likeable person, and they fall in love.
Ned Stark/Davos Seaworth & Both’s Child(ren)
- Ned is widowed/separated/divorced by the time he comes to King’s Landing in the first book, and Stannis stayed at court, meaning Ned gets to meet Davos and they fall in love. (Or, Davos is employed to sneak him and his daughters out of the city in exchange for him working with Stannis to get Stannis the Iron Throne, and that’s where they fall in love). Would love if everyone survives here, Ned, Davos, and their assorted children.
- Modern AU where Ned is brought in as the advisor to CEO Robert in the big family business and meets the assistant of Robert’s brother, ex-con Davos. As two divorced dads with lots of kids each, they quickly find something to talk about and get closer.
- Ned meets Davos during the war and marries him, thinking it’s fine since he’s not the heir and Davos is a knight. He has Jon and Davos has a couple of his sons which he raises by himself for some reason, so they’re already a lively little family by the time the wedding happens.
Ned Stark/Davos Seaworth & Child(ren)
- Ned and Davos get married (probably when Ned still thinks he’s not going to inherit Winterfell) and adopt/have a child as an heir. How are they as young fathers?
- How does their class difference influence the way they raise their children? Does Davos have different priorities, maybe a blind spot for the things noble children must know? Does Ned appreciate the input Davos has?
- Ned’s brother was married to Catelyn before his death and Ned wasn’t married when he went to war. He met Stannis’ knight Davos at Storm’s End and had an affair with him. The next time Ned meets Davos, he’s pregnant/holding a newborn. Davos doesn’t think Ned will believe that it’s his child, but Ned doesn’t think Davos would lie (and he didn’t).
- Davos has as many of his canonical sons as might have been born by the time this story is set, but he was the one to give birth to them and they’re Salla’s. He likes his kids and doesn’t really expect Salla to ever hang around or be faithful, but Salla eventually decides he wants Davos for good. (If this is during the time of the books, maybe he’ll take Davos as part of his payment for his services to Stannis.)
- Davos and Salla end up adopting a little orphan together, without really meaning to.
- Salla and Davos are still raising kids together while Davos is a knight and Salla is a pirate lord. How does this unconventional family work?
- Davos gets pregnant by Salla while he’s still a smuggler. He figures Salla won’t be interested in taking responsibility and only tells Salla when he has given birth because he figures he has a right to know about his kid, not because he expects anything. To his surprise, Salla wants them to be a family.
