Dear Multifandom Tropefest Writer,

I'm greygerbil on AO3, thank you for writing for me! Right from the start, I want to say you don’t have to do anything with my prompts, they’re just there in case you want some ideas. If it has my pairing, avoids my DNWs and includes a trope, I’m sure I’ll enjoy it! All ratings are great. I included a list of my general likes and smut likes which apply to all my requests. When it comes to kinks, you can include anything not listed under my DNWs; point to this part of the letter if someone asked if I opted in, I like a lot of stuff.

Feel free to entirely erase the existence of canon relationships or break them up if they get in the way of the pairings I requested, whichever works best with what you’re trying to do.

Fic where the couple is not yet together but clearly in love, or on the road to getting together, or having their first time kissing/in bed together are great. However, so are established relationship fics. Whatever suits your ideas!

Some prompts may read like ideas for longer fics, but if you’re interested in them, please just grab a scene with the general idea out of the middle of those hypothetical longfics and write me that! I love fic of all length and don’t want anyone to feel like they have to go above the minimum word count. I just get excited writing prompts sometimes, heh.

Considering the number of canons I have where you slaughter your way through untold heaps of NPCs, I should also point out I generally have no problem with gore, blood, and graphic violence.

Haytham Kenway/Charles Lee (Assassin’s Creed)

I love Haytham and Charles, villains who really respect and like each other and stand behind their idea of a world of order being what is needed for humanity where they guide the rest of us stupid sheeple humans to a better future, lol. I immensely enjoy young Charles’ senpai-notice-me dynamic with Haytham and his adoration for him; but I also love that eventually it goes both ways, when Charles becomes Haytham’s trusted second-in-command. For smut, I prefer bottom Charles.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• Well, there are a lot of opportunities for this. Whether they have successfully beaten/escaped Assassins or rogue Templars or Haytham just taught Charles how to climb on the tallest building in the city, adrenaline is often running high. I would also love a scenario where one of them saves the other and then accidentally blurts out a confession. Charles with his temper would probably be more likely to snap! But perhaps, to both their surprise, it’s Haytham who loses control of his tongue.

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• I’m all here for fluffy villains. One of them returns from a mission or job of some sort and is greeted by his lover with a warm bath? Maybe they curl up with Charles’ pack of dogs? Maybe one of them buys the other a present? They go together to Britain and visit their old family homes? Whatever you can think of, really. I’d also be happy for a modern AU of them being Abstergo employees where their relationship might be easier to show in public and they could officially move in with each other (or, alternatively, a homophobia-free AU of their actual time period were Charles might introduce Haytham to his parents properly or they get married or something).

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Charles being generally misrable and/or angry about Haytham and Ziio would work, as would him seething about the droves of women and men that Haytham no doubt attracts. However, it might also be fun if Charles tries to distract himself from his crush on Haytham with some other man and Haytham finds he doesn’t like that at all.


• I also always love possessive sex, whether desperately passionate or rough or both.

Pining - Character Thinks They Aren't Good Enough for The Object of Their Pining

• This probably makes the most sense from Charles’ perspective, as he idolises Haytham. Haytham getting briefly with Ziio probably only seems to underline the fact that he’s not what Haytham wants. How long does this go on? Months? Years? It would be great if Haytham eventually catches on and shows Charles that he’s wrong.

Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound

• Either of them could manage to acquire one of these, either in a fight with their adverseries or in an accident. How does the other one react? Is there bloody vengeance and/or do they sit by their lover’s/crush’s bedside? Does it finally bring up feelings between them they didn’t know were there?

Hurt/Comfort - Feverish Confessions

• One character falling ill (or suffering from an infected wound) and the other caring about them is already one of my favourite tropes, so this only makes it better. What is the confession? Is it a love confession or perhaps something more indiscreet, a smutty fantasy? Or maybe something innocent but with implications towards their feelings, like them wishing for the other person to embrace them or stay with them through the night? Something in a totally different direction could be that one of them is a secret Assassin and in this moment of weakness, they confess to their lover/crush. Can they bring him over to the other side? (I’d love it if by the end they were either both Assassins or both Templars).

Hurt/Comfort - Character Being Protected Isn't Used to Being Cared About

• Charles was raised as a military man, Haytham as a Templar from a young age. They’re both used to being self-sufficient. What is it like to have someone who can protect them at their side?


• Maybe Haytham needs someone to unload the emotional distress caused by the whole Birch affair onto and Charles is the one he can trust and who assures him he’ll deal with Birch’s leftover supporters.


• Charles is captured by Assassins/rogues Templars and feels very foolish for it. Haytham saves him from execution and/or (more) torture and assures him that even good agents make mistakes sometimes.

Sex Tropes - Sparring Leads to Sex

• They’re both martial men, but so far, Charles has only been trained in the ways of the army. Haytham decides he still has things to teach him about single combat the way the Assassins (and choice Templars like Haytham) do it. This eventually leads to close-quarter combat that’s a little more intimate than anticipated. Did Haytham plan it that way, realising how infatuated Charles is, or is it a spur-of-the-moment thing?

First Time - First Time with Another Man

• Would work with either of them! Maybe one of them has only had female lovers so far and the other one decides to show them a thing or two. Hell, maybe due to the constraints of the time, neither had yet dared to indulge with another man or in any case thought it easier just to keep to women, but they decide the other one is worth the risk.

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• The one thing Haytham did not expect when he went to America and had an eager young man shake his hand at port was to notice that he had just met his soulmate. Or perhaps, if touch is what reveals your soulmate and Haytham was wearing gloves, it takes them a while longer to notice?

Arranged Marriage - Mutual Pining Between Spouses

• This would probably be a same-sex marriage is allowed AU. Birch decides that Haytham needs to be anchored in America and distracted before he finds out about the things Birch has done. He orders a marriage between him and Charles, as is his right as Grand Master. Both Haytham and Charles actually like the idea, but it takes them a while to figure out they feel the same way.


• Perhaps to enter the Templar order, the new initiate must marry an older member (whether it’s an internal Templar rite or same-sex marriage is generally allowed). Braddock was supposed to be the one for Charles, but now that he’s dead, Haytham decides to take him. Charles is overjoyed, but of course doesn’t want to pressure Haytham for more than he already got. Haytham isn’t sure whether Charles just idolises him or has a crush, though he’s quite smitten with Charles himself. Unnecessary pining and, hopefully, some sort of resolution abound.

Arranged Marriage - Must Produce an Heir

• Same prompts as above, but with an mpreg stipulation! Would prefer pregnant Charles here. Maybe it’s expected of Templar marriages to produce loyal little Templar soldiers?

A/B/O - Omegas are Rare

• There aren’t many omegas, but Charles happens to be one. Haytham (who could be either an alpha or a beta who easily out-alphas most alphas) decides that this one is going to be his.


• It’s not considered proper for an omega to go after an alpha, and considering there’s so few that there’s usually a line of alphas they don’t often have to, but Charles decides to court Haytham, even knowing Haytham is the rare alpha who could totally have his pick and he might not win him.


• Charles considered it prudent to hide his nature because otherwise societal expectations might interfere with his wish for a military career. Haytham, however, finds out. He supports Charles’ wish to be a soldier, but also starts thinking he might want him as a man. Charles, of course, is already head-over-hells.


• Omegas are extremely rare, perhaps more a biological quirk than an actual third nature. Haytham has a lot of fun figuring out Charles’ peculiar biology.

Accidental Baby Acquisition

• Perhaps the baby is Connor? The fire in the village could have happened a few years earlier and Charles and Haytham end up collecting him out of the burning rubble, knowing for some reason he’s Haytham’s son.


• One of Charles’ soldier friends dies and days later, his lover comes and drops a baby into his arms, saying it was his friend’s and she can’t raise it. Charles can’t bring himself to give the baby up and so him and Haytham end up raising a kid (whether they’re already together or grow closer over this).

Mpreg

• Would prefer pregnant Charles here. Is mpreg common in this world or can only some men get pregnant? Did Haytham and Charles plan it or was it an accident?


• Mpreg is not usually a thing in this world, but Haytham’s special bloodline/some precursor item he wore or had around lead to him impregnating Charles, anyway. Do they know that could happen and do it on purpose or is it a total surprise?

Mpreg - Accidental Pregnancy After Thinking Character Was Unable to Get Pregnant

• As above, some men can get pregnant, but Haytham and Charles resigned themselves to the thought that neither of them belongs to that group, as extensive “experimentation” has shown. Imagine their surprise if after years, Charles suddenly turns out to have gotten pregnant, after all.

Alexios/Stentor (Assassin’s Creed)

Alexios and Stentor have such a deliciously complicated relationship. Stentor is obviously threatened by Alexios’ presence and Alexios is probably jealous that Stentor got to have Nikolaos as a father whereas Alexios got to be shoved off a mountain. However, considering how attached Stentor is to Nikolaos, I doubt he has any birth family that cares about him, either. He and Alexios eventually might find themselves unexpectedly able to bond over some things. They also would make a great battle couple and their verbal and physical sparring is a lot of fun. I write mostly with protagonist!Alexios in mind, but feel free to rearrange the plots so they work for Deimos!Alexios, I like him, too. For smut, I prefer bottom Stentor.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• There’s a hundred opportunities for this to happen, considering the way they live. Maybe after a conquest battle or skirmish they win, with Alexios as hired help for the Spartan army, they fall into each other’s arms. Maybe either of them got attacked (Cult? Spartan political machinations?) and almost didn’t get away with his life if it weren’t for the other. Maybe Alexios challenged Stentor to a climb up some giant structure and the adrenaline comes mostly from Stentor wondering if he’ll end up a pile of flesh and bones on the ground (I guess Alexios doesn’t take serious fall damage, but the competition could still have been exciting, lol).

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Alexios left a trail of lovers all over Ancient Greece and could still usually have half the people in every room he enters. Stentor needs to assert that he’s his boyfriend from time to time, to chase off people. He also likes to do it in more intimate ways in private to work through his jealousy; Alexios indulges him because it’s hot.


• Thaletas returns to Sparta. Stentor knows that he was the one Alexios would have stayed with if Thaletas would have had him and suddenly finds himself insecure about their relationship/possessive over Alexios whether they’re together or not.


• Stentor has an admirer who is quite the perfect Spartan, which Alexios figures must appeal to Stentor. He’s not jealous at all, of course...


• Deimos!Alexios shows Stentor exactly who he belongs to when he thinks/sees that other men are flirting with him. Stentor likes it.

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• Neither Alexios nor Stentor probably spend a lot of their time in Sparta, as Stentor is out leading troops and Alexios has the Cult to deal with. Them getting a moment to breathe and just laze around would be nice.


• As the prompt above, but Stentor has been raised into the Spartan work ethos and thus doesn’t do relaxing too well. Alexios gives him a reason to stay in bed past noon for once.


• Stentor and Alexios move in together. Alexios finds himself unexpectedly touched by the act of furnishing his own home back in Sparta for the first time.


• Stentor shows Alexios the graves of his family (be they Spartan or helots) or the place he used to live before Nikolaos adopted him.

Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound

• Alexios is basically invincible, but you can still game over, so this should be possible even for him! He might just recover more quickly. Stentor, of course, is a normal mortal and there’s a lot of possibilities for him to acquire an almost mortal wound as well. What is the result? Sudden realisation of feelings? The wounded one waking up at some point and finding the other slumped half-asleep over their body because they couldn’t leave them alone? Angry admonishments to the hurt person while the comforter is trying not to let it shine through how much they care? Fetch quests for medicine ingredients? I’m here for it all.

Hurt/Comfort - Feverish Confessions

• One character falling ill (or suffering from an infected wound) and the other caring about them is already one of my favourite tropes, so this only makes it better. What is the confession? Is it a love confession or perhaps something more indiscreet, a smutty fantasy? Or maybe something innocent but with implications towards their feelings, like them wishing for the other person to embrace them or stay with them through the night? Would Stentor (or Alexios) be more ashamed about confessing to a dirty fantasy or about wanting his hand held?

Hurt/Comfort - Character Being Protected Isn't Used to Being Cared About

• Alexios has always had to fend for himself since he was young. What is it like to suddenly have Stentor in his corner?


• Someone, or even a group, tells Alexios he’s not a real Spartan and should leave again etc. (Maybe they also think the first judgement shouldn’t have been overturned and Alexios is a murderer who will bring bad luck to Sparta.) To his great surprise, it’s Stentor who comes to his defence. Does Stentor pretend it’s just because a Spartan should support the decisions of the kings or is it already clear he likes Alexios a little more than he planned to?


• Stentor was adopted for his skill and grew up in a society that praises strength over everything, so he probably is not used to being protected. How does he deal with it when Alexios steps in as he’s needed?

Hurt/Comfort - Character Accidentally Reveals Trauma

• For Alexios, I’d love if he somehow, during a fever, in anger, or even during a panic attack, spoke to Stentor about his experience on Taygetos, seeing his sister fall and accidentally killing a man (and perhaps even feeling guilty that his stumbling led to Kassandra’s fall) and then being flung off. That, and the journey to Kephallonia, or some of his childhood there, which I’m sure wasn’t all fun and games with only Markos around to half-care. Maybe Stentor even accidentally sees it when he touches the spear or something (Herodotos seemed to get visions from that). Stentor said he doesn’t care about Alexios’ past when he was angry, but now that they’re growing closer or even are already lovers I’m sure it’d be a different story.


• Under similar circumstances of sickness, anger, or panic, maybe it’s Stentor who reveals some sort of past trauma. What did happen to his family, anyway? Was he an orphan living by himself before Alexios noticed him, and does Alexios maybe see himself in that a bit? Or did he get in trouble with other men for Nikolaos’ preferring him even though he was perhaps not even born Spartan, or was he at some point captured by Athenians (either torture or noncon could work here – my noncon DNW does not apply to this specific prompt, since I’d be interested in knowing how Stentor would deal with that sort of trauma)?

Touch-Starved

• Maybe Alexios did not indulge in any of the possible relationships on the way, focused as he is, or his last dalliance was long ago. Maybe he slept with people, but never really got as much as an embrace without it. Either way, I would love to see him melting under Stentor’s hands and greedy for more touches.


• Deimos!Alexios has pretty much never gotten any friendly physical attention besides maybe sex and even that probably wasn’t on the cuddlier end of the scale. He gets some of it from Stentor when they start sleeping together, or even just as they get closer, and can’t get enough.


• Stentor does not seem like the sort of men who would enjoy cuddling and he prefers it that way. However, when Alexios starts being physically affectionate with him, he keeps wanting it all the time.

Pining - Mutual Pining

• Alexios and Stentor didn’t exactly get off on the right foot. If they started to care for each other, I’m pretty sure they’d both be convinced all bridges have been burned in the fires of Hades already and would pine away for a good while until they’d realise they want each other.

First Time - First Time with Another Man

• Works for either of them! Which one is the one without any experience with men, and how does their partner teach them?

Sex Tropes - Sparring Leads to Sex

• Works with both Alexios and Deimos!Alexios. Obviously they all have a lot of tension to work through, so sparring that ends closer than anticipated would always be appreciated.

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• How shocked is Alexios when he bumps into Stentor in Megaris and realises he’s his soulmate? Does it change how he approaches Nikolaos?

Marriage and Weddings - Friends/Family/Fans/Foes React To Unexpected Or Contentious Marriage

• I’m pretty sure if Alexios and Stentor announced they are about to get married, it would be quite the shock to everyone who knows them, especially if their reconciliation had happened outside for Sparta or in secret. And what do Nikolaos and Myrrine think about their children being united this way?


• If Stentor plans to marry Deimos!Alexios, people might be legitimately worried he could get himself killed. Can Deimos and Stentor convince people he’s not just a monster anymore?

Arranged Marriage - Mutual Pining Between Spouses

• Perhaps Archidamos thought marrying Alexios to Stentor was a good idea to reintegrate him into Sparta and his family. Maybe the gods (or Isu) gave some sort of sign that everyone generally considers to be a reason that two people absolutely must wed. Either way, Stentor and Alexios agree to it, both thinking the other one doesn’t want it and both not right and so they pine away while being married until they finally figuring it out.

Arranged Marriage - Must Produce an Heir

• Same as above, but they must also make an heir. Can they manage to continue pining while sleeping together to make their baby? Or do they figure it out earlier? Would prefer pregnant Stentor here.

A/B/O - Omegas are Rare

• Stentor was always miffed that with so few omegas around, he had to be one of them, but at least it lets him pretend he’s only into Alexios because of instincts (spoiler alert: that’s not it).


• It’s generally not considered a thing for omegas to openly go after alphas. Omega Stentor doesn’t care, he’s interested in Alexios (or Deimos!Alexios).


• Insert typical “they pretend they only slept together because they wanted to quell the heat but of course they caught feelings” plot with omega Stentor and alpha Alexios here.


• In Sparta, omegas fight like all the rest, but outside of their lands and battlefields, Stentor needs an alpha to be allowed to visit certain places/do certain things. He and Alexios pretend to be a couple, but how is Stentor not going to keep thinking about how good an alpha Alexios might be to him, after he was being all affectionate and respectful? Unfair.

Accidental Baby Acquisition

• Where does the baby come from? Is it Alexios’ baby that he sent away but that somehow lands back on his doorstep and now he can’t bring himself to give it away once more? Does he ask Stentor to help him protect the child and they get closer over that?


• A good friend of Stentor’s falls in battle and leaves behind a baby whose mother is also dead/not around. Stentor decides to adopt the child. If he’s already with Alexios, he might tell him he won’t have to care for the baby; or maybe they’re not together yet. Either way, of course Alexios cannot resist coparenting a little and that’s how they end up fathers.


• They find an orphan baby out in the wild where no one will take it off their hands quick enough to prevent them from bonding and projecting their own sad orphan experiences onto it (I assume since Stentor was adopted he also has them). Well, now they just have to raise it and potentially become (er, even more of) a family…

Mpreg

• Would prefer pregnant Stentor here. Is mpreg common in this world or can only some men get pregnant? Did Alexios and Stentor plan it or was it an accident?


• Mpreg is not usually a thing in this world, but Alexios’ special bloodline/some precursor item he wore or had around lead to him impregnating Stentor, anyway. Do they know that could happen and do it on purpose or is it a total surprise?

Dorian Pavus/Felix Alexius (Dragon Age)

Dorian says it’s an odd question when you ask him if he was involved with Felix, but I don’t think it is at all. They seemed fond of each other and Dorian obviously had nothing but the highest regard for him. Besides, Felix did say he liked trouble! For smut, I prefer bottom Felix.

Since I’m not into character death, I’d prefer if the fic wasn’t all about the tragedy of Felix’s looming demise or about said death. It could be set before he was infected or in a Felix Lives AU. Oh, and if you do decide to save him somehow, feel free to include all the angst about his (soon to be averted) death, lol, I just don’t like it if the death actually follows. As for Dorian’s relationships with Iron Bull or The Inquisitor, should you chose to set the fic during/past DA:I, it’d be great if they were very clearly broken up by the time he gets to Felix, or he didn’t romance either of them. It would also be nice if Dorian isn’t in love with either of these dudes anymore (though him still being bitter or disillusioned about love or whatever if it ended badly, as well as Felix believing that Dorian is still in love or that he couldn’t give Dorian what he got from his former lovers, are totally fine).

Certain Death Averted - Character is rescued before dying

• Pretty much a background trope for most of these prompts, but totally also a prompt in itself. Whether Felix actually gets rescued on purpose (someone finds a cure) or it’s a magical accident or he’s made a Grey Warden… just let him live! And make out with Dorian!

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• Perhaps it’s right after Felix barely survived his cure. Perhaps it’s in a battle Felix accidentally got pulled into as well. Maybe it’s even before the infection and the two of them somehow got into trouble in Tevinter (I’m sure Dorian can manage to find some and we know Felix enjoys it).

Friends to Lovers

• This seems like a great trope for these two. I would love to see their friendship develop and then shift into something more, maybe after Felix is cured and they see each other again and all their old feelings suddenly resurface stronger (plus some little crushes they may already have had).


• Would also like a version were they already fell for each other and became lovers in Tevinter before Felix was infected. (If you want to write a dramatic story with that prompt: Perhaps Felix broke up with Dorian because of the taint and Dorian accepted it as the reasonable thing to do, but was secretly heart-broken? Can they pick it up again when Felix is cured and do the friends-to-lovers walk a second time? That’d be great.)

First Time - First Time with Another Man

• Well, considering Alexius picked Dorian up when they were both visitors to a brothel, I doubt Dorian had that little experience with men, but for Felix I could see it! Does Dorian show him what he’s been missing?


• Maybe Felix was a bit of a late-bloomer, so he hadn’t slept with anyone yet before he was infected, man or woman, and afterwards he was worried he might be able to pass on the taint, so he remained a virgin. After Felix is cured and Dorian finds out, he decides to give Felix a few hands-on lessons. Are they already in a relationship or are they pretending just to have fun but actually pining?

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• Dorian joins a cured Felix back in Tevinter after DA:I. Maybe they had a long-distance relationship so far and now finally get to be sweet with each other?


• Dorian decides to meet with his parents. He pretends like it doesn’t really shake him (as usual), but Felix welcomes him back in their shared home in the aftermath and reminds him he doesn’t need to conform to his family anymore.


• Dorian and Felix geeking out over filling the library in their new home.


• Felix spoke to the Inquisitor, asking about the Other Future, or questioned his father about his intentions. Dorian cheers him up afterwards, as Felix is shaken what was to be done in his name.

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Dorian always assumed Felix was straight (maybe Felix thought so, too, or maybe he just didn’t think he was Dorian’s type). Then, as Felix is cured and with the Inquisition, or maybe earlier when they’re still together in Tevinter, a man starts hitting on Felix and Felix seems mildly interested – though of course his true interests lie elsewhere… Does Dorian intervene?


• Dorian is a flirt and very charming. Felix is very reasonable and understanding and usually not super bothered. Still, it can get a little much sometimes to see how many people are infatuated with Dorian and especially in Tevinter, Felix’s lack of magic talent makes him sort of second-class to most nobles, so he probably gets overlooked a lot on principle when people consider if Dorian is free. How does he try to recapture Dorian’s interest? (Not that he ever actually lost it in the first place.)


• Dorian’s ex is either the Iron Bull or the Inquisitor. Felix secretly wonders how he is ever going to stand up to either of them (he’s not a dom or generally as sexually experienced as the Bull, nor an amazing main character hero).

Pining - Mutual Pining

• Dorian said that in Tevinter, you don’t often get relationships with men. Maybe, out of habit, he tries to keep things light with Felix, more friends-with-benefits despite being desperately in love. Meanwhile, Felix doesn’t want to pressure Dorian and lose him, since he knows Dorian has a wild history and might still not be into commitment, but he wishes he could be his only partner. Do they eventually manage to figure out they want the same thing?


• Just generally Dorian and Felix hanging around Skyhold after Felix is cured, being in love and not quite daring to admit it since neither wants to ruin the friendship. What (or who) pushes them into it? Dorian’s meddling friends definitely welcome!


• Dorian thinks Felix is straight, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a bit in love. Felix took a considerable amount of time to admit to himself he really isn’t only interested in women. Can he now also admit to Dorian that he has a crush on him?

Touch-Starved

• Being tainted, Felix hasn’t really been touched in a long while except for by people trying to work magic or medicine on him and he’s only recently been cured. When Dorian starts being affectionate (whether in a relationship or casually), he’s very eager for it.


• Dorian has a lot of sex, but he didn’t get much physical attention divorced from that, Tevinter being as it is. Luckily, Felix is very happy to give it even when Dorian is not the type to directly ask for a hug.

Whump - Character Keeps Getting Back Up Despite Being Badly Hurt

• Dorian has to defend them and Felix isn’t much use in a fight (especially not if he’s still weak suffering/recovering from the blight), so it’s on Dorian to pull himself up again and again and he’s not going to fail. Would love Felix patching him up after!


• Felix is not much of a fighter, but somehow he ends up in a situation where he has to defend Dorian (who is maybe trying to open one of those magical barriers or already beaten on the ground or something) and he just won’t let himself be beaten, despite the fact that he’s neither a good mage nor all that great with a blade. He can still be a meat shield, after all.


• Felix got cured in Haven, but while he’s still recovering, Corypheus attacks. So he basically has no choice to drag himself, half-dead, through the snow to Skyhold with the others. Dorian is at his side, of course.

Hurt/Comfort - Feverish Confessions

• One character falling ill (or suffering from an infected wound, or in Felix’s case maybe going through difficult blight treatment) and the other caring about them is already one of my favourite tropes, so this only makes it better. What is the confession? Is it a love confession or perhaps something more indiscreet, a smutty fantasy? Or maybe something innocent but with implications towards their feelings, like them wishing for the other person to embrace them or stay with them through the night?

Hurt/Comfort - Character Accidentally Reveals Trauma

• I would love for Dorian to reveal what happened between him and his father to Felix (I’m not super clear on the timeline, but it could maybe have happened after he left Alexius) and just generally get to vent his frustration with the Tevinter system in earnest for once, since he’s usually more of a hide-the-pain-with-jokes type of person (whether he slips up because he’s sick or angry or maybe even has a panic attack or something).


• Felix is so serene about even his own death, but maybe he can have a moment as well when he’s delirious with sickness, panicked, or even angry. Does he still dream about the attack that killed his mother and left him infected? What about when his grandfather tried to have him assassinated? Did he ever suffer at the hands of other high-born family/acquaintances for his lack of magic, but didn’t tell people? (I’d also be fine with noncon for this specific prompt because it would be interesting to see how Felix handles it.)

Hurt/Comfort - Taking Care of Sick Character(s)

• Obviously, Felix going through some sort of blight cure would need some seeing to. Dorian fussing with him (maybe while sort of still trying to keep up the irreverent attitude – does he manage?) would be fun.


• But maybe Dorian also goes down with a nasty flu or something at some point! Felix wants him to get better, of course, but maybe also enjoys he gets to repay Dorian a little bit for caring when he was sick.


• Pre-blight prompt here could be one of them falling ill and the other caring about them when they don’t know each other that well yet, which is a great chance for them to start falling in love.

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• Dorian had the best intentions about not touching the son of the man who pulled him out of his life of chaotic squalor and actually put him on a good path. He didn’t expect Felix to be his soulmate.


• Dorian and Felix knew they were soulmates, but Felix told Dorian it would be fine if he left since he has to get used to living without him. When they meet again, Dorian realises he can’t leave him a second time. Then, when they’ve already resigned to imminent Felix’s death, a cure is found.

Hanahaki Disease - Resolved by Reciprocated Love

• Felix has just managed to beat the taint, but for some reason, he’s still not getting markedly better. Dorian holds the key to that cure, but can Felix manage to confess, or does he not want to put the burden of his hanahaki sickness on Dorian and Dorian has to find out some other way?


• Felix is better, but now Dorian finds himself sick. He figures he’s pretty much done for since he thinks Felix is straight, but perhaps he figures he may as well confess… or does he hide it because he doesn’t want Felix to feel guilty, but Felix finds out?

Arranged Marriage - Political Alliance

• In a first step to reforming Tevinter, Dorian and Felix decide to get married (whether it’s wholly officially recognised or not) to bind their powerful families together and make a point that political alliances are still possible and valuable if they don’t result in biological babies. Is it a love marriage from the start or did they do it out of political cunning but now realise it means more?

Accidental Baby Acquisition

• Felix, who is with the administrative Inquisition staff, is at some point handed some orphan baby to care for because everyone has too much to do. The kid has no other family and him and Dorian accidentally fall into the role of parents (and get together if they aren’t already).


• One/some of their relatives or friends get offed in some political plot. Dorian and Felix, currently back in Tevinter trying to reform it, are left caring for the remaining baby. Are they already together and realise they’re now basically starting a family or does this bring them closer?

Mpreg

• I would prefer pregnant Felix for all prompts here.


• So mpreg probably can’t be something that’s usually possible for human and other magically talented races, as otherwise Dorian’s whole backstory collapses in on itself. Or maybe there’s some sort of stigma against it in Tevinter as its traditionally thought to produce or for some reason actually does often produce less magically powerful children? But Dorian wants a child with his lover/husband Felix, anyway, and goes against all established norms and traditions.


• Dorian and Felix stumble over some ancient magic artefact that leaves Felix pregnant with Dorian’s baby. Do they consider reverse-engineering the magic? What does it feel like for Dorian that he may give his father exactly what he wants in the end, an heir? That must be a weird and not altogether positive feeling.


• The secret to mpreg/fpreg is discovered in Tevinter during the timelineof DA:I. Great, now it wouldn’t be a problem anymore to favour someone of the same gender and Dorian can marry some magically gifted dude he will never get along with and they can despise each other till they’re both old! Dorian, of course, promptly decides to scandalise everybody by marrying Felix, whose lack of magical talent basically makes him a no-go as a partner to the entirety of Tevinter’s upper crust, male or female.

Genji Shimada/Tekhartha Zenyatta (Overwatch)

This pairing is one of my constant favourites. Genji and Zenyatta just seem so familiar and comfortable with each other in the game, but there’s also this whole history that is only hinted at there with how Genji came to Zenyatta torn up about his past and not at peace with himself. I would love to read everything, from AUs (perhaps based on their various skins? Or something like omnics are still universally property?) to their first canon meeting and early tentative crushes to established relationship fic of them travelling the world or rejoining Overwatch. For smut, I prefer bottom Zenyatta.

Friends to Lovers

• This is a great trope for them. How do they develop from guide and student to friends to lovers? I would love to see the moment where one or both of them become aware of their changed feelings – what made them realise? The confession would also be great, whether it’s a dramatic moment or something quiet and understated.


• Genji used to be a playboy! Maybe he decides to try his (somewhat rusty) skills on Zenyatta and takes him out on a date.


• Perhaps there’s never a real “breaking point” and they just slide from platonic to romantic more or less accidentally. Them just taking stock of the development or finally having that conversation would be great.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• Oh boy, anyone who has ever defended a point during overtime knows how wild the fights they are in can get. I’m sure one of the many narrow escapes from death a mission for recalled Overwatch could provide would be a great set-up for this.


• Alternatively, them getting in trouble with an anti-omnic gang or saving some people from a natural disaster or criminals could lead to this.


• Maybe one of them saves the other from something/someone and then can’t keep their feelings in anymore?

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• What was life at the monastery like as a couple (or as friends currently falling for each other)?


• Zenyatta travels the world and Genji is with him. Fluff as they have new experiences together. Maybe Genji can show Zenyatta some things? It’s quite possible his experience only really extends to wherever he worked before he joined the Shambali and the monastery, after all.


• Zenyatta and Genji decide they want to stay somewhere a little longer and get a small apartment. It’s the first time they really have a home together and they want to make the most of it.

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• In the temple, Zenyatta was seen as one of the monks and spiritual guides, but out in the open, people actually show him different sorts of attention, too. Genji is suddenly confronted with people flirting with Zenyatta and he’s not a fan, though he very much understands the urge.


• A new student needs Zenyatta’s attention more than Genji, who is already mostly recovered. Genji doesn’t wish to sabotage them, but finds himself jealous, which leads him to re-evaluate his feelings for Zenyatta that go beyond student and teacher.


• Genji, being somewhat recovered, starts flirting with people again. Zenyatta finds to his own consternation that that isn’t very conducive to his peace of mind, even though he should be happy for his student and possessiveness certainly isn’t a virtue to followers of the Iris.


• For all of the above prompts, them affirming or reaffirming their affection for each other in whatever romantic or smutty way you want would be great.

Pining - Mutual Pining

• They are still at the monastery and already in love, but Zenyatta does not wish to put his student in an awkward position and Genji doesn’t dare risking this great new connection. How are their feelings revealed?


• They’ve mostly moved past just being master and student and are fast friends, but neither dares crompomising the friendship have. What pushes them into it?


• Genji and Zenyatta are separated, both on their own ways, but keep in contact over messages and whatever advanced version of Skype they have. The distance only makes it more obvious how much they miss the other. Maybe they confess their feelings on some late-night call or one suddenly shows up halfway across the globe to meet the other?

Touch-Starved

• Genji misses being touched, but his relationship to his new body is difficult and there are few he would even trust enough now to do it. However, it feels great when Zenyatta does it...


• Zenyatta doesn’t think that someone like him could need physical affirmation, as his whole philosophy is based on the spiritual (“true self is without form”) and he never got that sort of affection from anyone, anyway; but once he experiences it, he’s almost desperate for more.

Whump - Character Keeps Getting Back Up Despite Being Badly Hurt

• Either of them could do this in a fight to protect the other or some innocents. Would love for some comfort by the other to follow the hurt.

Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound

• They’d both probably have to be repaired instead of getting traditionally treated, but that doesn’t mean they can’t take a dire shock to the system. Does it shake lose any confessions out of the hurt person or the one watching over them? Or do they only just realise the depth of their feeling in those moments?

• Genji got used to being a lone fighter, but Zenyatta looks out for him and shares his burdens.


• When Genji is still in his worst post-Blackwatch phase, Zenyatta finds himself in need of help. He’s worried it will shake Genji’s feeble trust in him, but it actually brings them closer together (maybe Genji enjoys the faith Zenyatta has in him or likes feeling useful).


• Zenyatta is always the one taking care of others and he has a philosophy that keeps him from sliding too deep into inner turmoil. Thus, when he himself needs help or protection, it’s quite difficult to ask for it. Luckily, Genji is there for him.

First Time

• Genji got around when he was younger, but maybe Zenyatta never had the opportunity or even inclination before. Now Genji has the chance to teach his master some new tricks.


• Zenyatta’s build looks really basic. Maybe he has to get the appropriate hardware and/or software installed first to even have sex (I’m fine with any sort of genitalia for him as long as its vaguely humanoid). Genji and Zenyatta trying out his new parts would be great.


• Maybe it could also be interpreted as Genji’s first time sleeping with someone in his new body. What is that like for him?

Kink - Wire Play

• Zenyatta has lots of wires just hanging about for Genji to play with. Or maybe Zenyatta shows Genji some fun things to do with his new cyborg body?

Sex Tropes - Sparring Leads to Sex

• Yoo, Zenyatta may be a support, but if he can aim, he can duke it out with a Genji. I’m sure they trained together sometimes. Maybe that was when their attraction overflowed for the first time? Or they’re in a relationship and learning how hot they find each other when they fight.

Accidental Baby Acquisition

• An orphan is brought to the monastery. Zenyatta and Genji end up caring for the baby and accidentally become parents (and partners, if they weren’t already) in the process.


• Genji finds that of all his family, there’s one baby left and their non-Shimada parent just died. Feeling bad because he helped take out its very criminal Shimada father/mother, he resolves it’s his responsibility to care for the kid. Luckily, he has his boyfriend/crush Zenyatta’s help.


• A baby (= just now activated) omnic would also be fun for them to care about. Obviously, that’s really a lot more like a very inexperienced adult, but maybe the omnic starts to see them as their parents regardless and Genji and Zenyatta feel it that way, too. Are they already together or does this make them realise feelings for each other, too?

Jonathan Reid/Sean Hampton (Vampyr)

Sean is the love interest I wanted! I enjoy how gentle and meek he is, but also how he obviously has a lot of courage and a stubborn head of his own. Meanwhile, Jonathan cares about people, but is a very good protagonist in that he seems always ready to push his own will through. Plus, they are both caretakers (who are also people-eating monsters) in their own right. I can see everything from tooth-rotting fluff to the two of them solving crimes and helping people together to even them getting into an argument over something they are at odds about and having to resolve that somehow. For smut, I prefer bottom Sean.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• Well, there’s a lot of chances these two have for that even during the game and afterwards, I’m sure there’s still enough hunters and monsters to force one out as well. However, it could also be adrenaline from working together to save a patient or something like that.

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• The weeks covered in the game are kind of catastrophe central, so Sean and Jonathan settling into their new routines and their new relationship (or courtship) would be great.


• Jonathan introduces Sean to his mother and butler, whether as his partner (if they’re open to that) or as a friend. How does that go?


• Just Jonathan hanging around the shelter or Sean helping people at the hospital and them being a doctor-social worker team basically would be sweet.


• Jonathan making space for Sean in his villa in West End and Sean leaving a few things there, even though he still spends most of his time in the shelter.


• In a homophobia-free AU, maybe Jonathan openly courts Sean. He’s a respectable doctor, after all, and Sean a nice, well-regarded man. Would love some cute scenes between them and maybe with the shelter residents commenting on it.


• A skip forward some 80 years where they’ve been together forever and Jonathan decides to ask Sean to marry him now that it’s finally possible.

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Sean is getting some flirty attention from someone in the shelter or some gang member and Jonathan realises that he’s not okay with it because he wants to be the one flirting with Sean. Alternatively, they’re already in a relationship and Sean didn’t even realise he was being flirted with until Jonathan has him up against the wall for a kiss being all possessive.


• Jealousy is obviously a sin, but Sean can’t help but be a little concerned when everyone is mooning over his partner, the great Dr. Reid, and a lot of them don’t just seem to think of his accomplishments… maybe he tries to regain Jonathan’s attention? (Which was always on him, of course.)

Pining - Mutual Pining

• Jonathan thinks that after what happened between them, Sean would certainly have no interest in him even if he could imagine being with a man (he won’t even let Jonathan listen to his chest, after all). Sean is sure that Jonathan has no interest in a Skal and perhaps, in some way, even considers himself damaged goods because of his past trauma. Cue all the unnecessary pining and hopefully a resolution.

Touch-Starved

• Jonathan has just been through a war and even his in-game love story never got very far physically (you can also take out him having an LI completely if you so wish). I’m sure he would be very happy to get some gentle touches or simply a hug and Sean would be happy to provide.


• Sean never had the sort of relationships that included much touching, maybe he even had some trouble with physical contact after the assault, too. However, he finds contact with Jonathan irresistible.

Blood Drinking

• Maybe Sean needs Ekon blood from time to time to stay sane? Or he got hurt very badly and Jonathan wants to help him recover. All the conflicting feelings considering how the last blood-drinking session between them went mixed up with lust and general attraction and guilt would be great.


• Ekon blood also just tastes great to Skals, Old Bridget said as much. If they’re in a relationship, I’m sure Jonathan would be happy to let Sean indulge sometimes.


• Skals have the advantage of being able to feed on dead flesh, though, so Sean feeding Jonathan in a moment of need or even habitually because he knows he can replenish much easier would also be great.

Whump - Character Keeps Getting Back Up Despite Being Badly Hurt

• Jonathan protecting Sean or his shelter or innocents, but not being able to use his vampire powers because he’s in public, getting repeatedly tossed around but not giving up until he’s beaten the foe. Sean patching him up would also be nice.


• Sean may not be a fighter (although he turns into quite the mini boss if he goes feral!), but I’m sure he’d be happy to play meat shield if it meant protecting Jonathan or some innocents until Jonathan recovered enough to join the fight/showed up to end it.

• I mean, they probably know the gist of each other’s respective trauma, but it would be interesting if during an angry outburst, a panic attack, or some sort of haze of sickness, they went a bit further in revealing the details or the effects of the trauma on them and have their partner/crush comfort them. We already know Sean didn’t have an easy life and Jonathan just spent three years in a war and killed his sister twice, so they’ve got a lot to talk about.

• Jonathan is a doctor and a combat medic, always taking care of others, but Sean has gone through a lot and also spends all of his time helping others. They really both qualify for this to a great degree and I would love either of them taking care of the other or them taking care of each other.

First Time

• First time counts in Sean’s case, since he did not consent to the experiences before. I could see him basically shying away from sexual contact until he starts going out with Jonathan and grows progressively more interested as he falls in love with him.


• Jonathan being understanding towards Sean would be great (although maybe he is to a point where Sean has to ask for them to sleep together or gets worried Jonathan isn’t interested). Just them having a nice time in bed.


• Maybe Jonathan’s experience so far is only with women? So Sean and him learn together.

Kink Exploration

• Jonathan and Sean start exploring their intimate interests with each other as Sean gets more comfortable with sex. I guess they wouldn’t go full-throttle into super heavy kink, but maybe some soft D/s? Bloodplay? Roleplaying? Medical kink is also kind of right there as a possibility, considering Jonathan is a doctor...

Hanahaki Disease - Resolved by Reciprocated Love

• Jonathan is the one who gets hanahaki and endlessly frets over what to do, since he doesn’t want to pressure Sean into anything (again) since he might feel he has to protect Jonathan’s life (or health, in case vampires just endlessly suffer on their choking flowers instead of dying). However, Sean does find out regardless.


• Sean gets the disease and asks Jonathan what is wrong with him (maybe it’s not a very well-known sickness). Jonathan knows and tells Sean he must confess to the one he loves and hope they like him back. Well, there’s just one problem with that…


• Sean knows exactly what the illness is and why he has it, so he doesn’t mention it to Jonathan, but then he collapses or starts coughing up flowers with Jonathan present.

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• Jonathan did not expect to find his soulmate bleeding out in a madman’s den on the worst night of his life, but here he is. How does this change things between them?


• Sean was always a bit apprehensive of the idea of a soulmate, since he was worried it’ll feel like being forced into something again. Can Jonathan make him come around?


• Alternatively, Sean thinks that soulmates are part of God’s plan and that’s why he’s staunchly convinced he’ll at least be a good friend to Jonathan (or more if Jonathan wants it). Jonathan is the one who isn’t a believer, but finds he really likes Sean a lot.

A/B/O - Omegas are Rare

• Sean happens to be an omega, but hides the fact as he’s worried he’s going to attract unwanted attention (again). Being a doctor, Jonathan notices quite quickly, but promises not to tell. However, he can’t quite keep himself from thinking about Sean…


• Heats are dangerous for vampires and their surroundings as it’s a time of very little control. Sean is very glad that Jonathan, as an Ekon, could physically overpower him, because otherwise he’d never dare sleeping with him during those times – and even as it is it took a lot of convincing on Jonathan’s part. Would love to see their first heat together.

Stannis Baratheon/Davos Seaworth (ASoIaF – G.R.R. Martin)

The stern, duty-bound lord, the knight with the undying loyalty who despite that does not fear to tell him the truth and is valued for this quality... what is there not to love about these two? I’ll never get tired of the fanfic and I’m always happy to have more. I know it’s pretty difficult to avoid my cheating DNW while staying in the canon timeline here, so feel free to handwave their marriages away (annulled? they were widowed? divorce is allowed in Westeros? the wives have their own lovers and/or they are separated, if still married in law?) or have them never happen. I also like homophobia-free AUs, but canon is just as good! For smut, I prefer bottom Davos.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• They end up in enough situations for this to be a thing. When the siege is finally broken? After/during the attack on Dragonstone? When they win Blackwater (King Stannis AU!)? Beat the Others? Escape an assassination attempt? Lots of possibilities.

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Stannis can contain himself when Davos is the loyal knight by his side, but when he watches him meet up with some old friend (maybe Salladhor Saan or an OC) who he used to sleep with, Stannis gets jealous.


• Davos knows Stannis will marry a noble someday as befits his station, but that doesn’t mean it’s fun watching him get flirted with at gatherings. (Could be Davos not having confessed yet, or them being in a relationship and Davos not realising that yes, Stannis absolutely plans to marry/stay faithful to the smuggler.)


• Stannis stumbling into starting a very passionate night in a moment of possessiveness (or being surprised by Davos doing the same to him).

Touch-Starved

• Stannis definitely doesn’t get enough hugs or… anything when it comes to physical affection. Maybe Davos can help! It could also start out before they’re even together, maybe with Davos offering to massage Stannis when his back is acting up and Stannis just can’t stop thinking about that feeling...


• If Davos isn’t married and is in love with Stannis, I could see him getting there, too. Maybe he is uncommonly physically affectionate when him and Stannis first start being together because he longed for it so much.

Pining - Mutual Pining

• Davos knows he’s not high-born enough to be Stannis’ partner. Stannis knows he’s not charming enough to attract a lover. They are, of course, desperately in love, but how long does it take them to realise?

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• Stannis learning to enjoy Dragonstone because Davos loves living on an island.


• Stannis and Davos moving into the Red Keep when Stannis is made king.


• Stannis and Davos enjoying some time together alone at sea.


• Just cuddling. How weird is it to Stannis at first and does he find he really likes it?


• Would love anything involving their kids (whether they acquired them as they did in canon or via mpreg)! Also younger Renly, should the story be set earlier. I also enjoy mpreg (I prefer pregnant Davos here), so if you wanna give them some kids of their own, that would also be fun.

Hurt/Comfort - Almost Mortal Wound

• Either of them could get one in one of the many conflicts and politics they’re involved in! I would love to see the one who is still healthy watching over the other or frantically dragging in as many maesters as they can find. Are they already a couple or does this shake them awake to realise their true feelings?

• One character falling ill (or suffering from an infected wound) and the other caring about them is already one of my favourite tropes, so this only makes it better. What is the confession? Is it a love confession or perhaps something more indiscreet, a smutty fantasy? Or maybe something innocent but with implications towards their feelings, like them wishing for the other person to embrace them or stay with them through the night?

Hurt/Comfort - Character Being Protected Isn't Used to Being Cared About

• Stannis does not make friends easily and got used fighting for himself. Davos being ever loyal on his side is quite an experience.


• Davos was always self-sufficient from a young age. Suddenly having a man who is a lord and accomplished knight in his corner is very new for him.

First Time

• I could see Stannis being a virgin if he’s never been married. Davos could certainly teach him a thing or two...

First Time - First Time with Another Man

• Maybe Stannis was married to Selyse and the marriage got dissolved somehow. In that case, Davos is still probably the first man that Stannis has ever slept with. Considering how little Selyse and Stannis slept together and that its implied to be Stannis’ fault, apparently he wasn’t a big fan of the process before. Does Davos change his mind?

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• How do the two of them react to finding out that they are soulmates? Is it common to have soulmates from a different social class? If not, what do lords and ladies do with these people? Maybe it’s considered allowed to keep them as lovers on the side as long as you’re not too obvious about it. Stannis probably wouldn’t consider such an indecent arrangement, though…

Arranged Marriage - Mutual Pining Between Spouses

• Their marriage is arranged to get Stannis off the market. Both of them think the other must be very unhappy with the arrangement while feeling guilty that they aren’t unhappy about it.

Arranged Marriage - Must Produce an Heir

• Same as above but with mpreg! Would prefer pregnant Davos here. Or maybe he already was pregnant when they married, too, and now he wonders if that’s the reason Stannis wed him? But of course it wasn’t (at least not that alone).


• The marriage is arranged because Davos already bore 7 sons via mpreg and Stannis is one annulled marriage into looking like he won’t have any kids, which Robert wants to avoid, so he puts him with someone who is proven to produce a good number of babies. Stannis is mortified that Davos would be drawn into his troubles, but Davos is actually not unhappy…

A/B/O - Omegas are Rare

• Davos usually hides that he’s an omega, but he confesses to Stannis during the siege because he’s going into heat. Do they sleep together in a moment of desperate passion, or does Stannis valiantly resist and make sure Davos doesn’t fall prey to other knights by locking him away? And how does their relationship develop afterwards?


• Omegas don’t usually pursue alphas, but Davos considers himself free from such expectations. He knows Stannis is interested, though perhaps a bit too shy and principled to do something about it, and since he also likes Stannis, he sets about winning him over.


• Because omegas are rare, Davos has higher prospects than a knight of his status usually might have, as omegas are considered fertile and generally highly prized for the, er, entertainment value of the heat. Stannis is not pleased with all the suitors, especially since he’s always been considered a lacking alpha because people think him prudish and stiff, Robert included, probably. (Or Stannis is a beta and thinks he has no chance against the alphas, anyway.) Davos never even truly considered anyone but Stannis, though.

Mpreg

• Would prefer pregnant Davos here. Maybe some men can get pregnant, maybe it’s Melisandre’s magic, whatever the reason, mpreg is possible and Davos and Stannis manage to make a baby or several. Would love to know about everything from conception to pregnancy to them caring about their newborn or even a snapshot of their family some years down the line (maybe also including other canonical kids if it fits the story).

Boromir (Son of Denethor II)/Aragorn | Estel (LotR – J.R.R. Tolkien)

I love everything about this pairing. The tension that their positions and personalities create is just great. They are both warriors of much talent and good leaders, but in the end, Boromir is the one who has to live with his guilt of failing, since I guess Boromir Lives AUs really give the best opportunity for them to have longer plots together. But Aragorn’s return to Gondor and the ring quest didn’t exactly go without a hitch, either, and he still has to prove that old Strider can actually be a good king. Lots still to unpack there. Aragorn’s relationship with Arwen obviously stumbles into my infidelity DNW, so if they are broken up or never got together in the first place, that’d be great. For smut, I prefer bottom Aragorn.

Confessions - Adrenaline Fuelled Love Confession

• After Boromir almost dies is probably an obvious one, if they had already started falling for each other, but considering the whole ring war trajectory, there are a lot of moments for this to apply all along the journey, should Boromir live. Or maybe right after they won the last battle? I could also see Boromir letting something slip out in anger after he finds out what his father did, almost as an aside, and Aragorn has no idea how to react to it in that context.

Fluff - Domestic Fluff

• Now that they’ve finally arrived home – though Aragorn probably still has to get there to start seeing it that way –, I’d love to see them take to life in Minas Tirith together.


• Boromir, who knows the area better, takes Aragorn out of town for a couple days and shows him a place where they can wander the forest/mountains a bit and Aragorn can indulge in being Strider for a while.


• Boromir being happy to be back home and Aragorn finding it interesting and endearing to see him among his men and in his environment would be nice.


• A rare comfortable evening or slow morning in front of the fire or in bed for the two.


• If they have kids, I’m always here for family fluff.

Jealousy/Possessiveness in Romantic/Sexual Relationships

• Boromir is respected and well-liked in Gondor. Aragorn doesn’t mind that some people might prefer Boromir as king, but he’s not really so happy about the ones who openly flirt with his lover… (Or has to stand by as they do so, since he hasn’t confessed his attraction and no claim on him.)


• Aragorn obviously has a great presence when he wants to and that draws attention of all kinds. Boromir kind of wishes it wouldn’t, sometimes, even though he’s just as bewitched.


• Jealous/possessive smut is always fun! Boromir has a bit of a temper and Aragorn can play right along, as we saw at the council, when he wants to, so that should be a good mix.

Pining - Mutual Pining

• Boromir doubts Aragorn could ever trust him again after he tried to steal the ring. Aragorn thinks Boromir views him about as favourable as Denethor and hardly wants him as a king, much less a lover. Much unnecessary pining (and hopefully a resolution) ensues.

Touch-Starved

• After the whole ordeal of getting the ring to Mordor, both Boromir and Aragorn probably belong in this category. Maybe their first tryst is really only two soldiers looking for some comfort with each other… but it doesn’t remain that.

Soulmates - Romantic Soulmates

• Boromir was surprised to find someone claiming to be the king at the Council of Elrond, but the surprise grows even bigger as he realises it’s his soulmate.


• Aragorn is quite a bit older than Boromir. Is he excited to have finally met his soulmate after all these years or is it kind of strange for him since he got used to living alone?

Cultural Differences - Crosscultural Relationship

• Aragorn and Boromir are nominally in the same culture group, but Aragorn also grew up among the elves and probably has the great majority of his influences from the Rangers. He has been in Gondor for some longer period of time before, but some stuff is probably still unknown to him, especially current everyday-life things. On the other hand, Boromir probably finds a lot of Aragorn’s customs and expectations a bit unusual, too.

• Boromir is very warlike and Aragorn is quite a fighter himself. I’m sure tensions between them could discharge into an intense sparring match – maybe more intense than they planned.


• The steward is considered the traditional training partner of the king, as they’re the one most trusted not to hurt him. Aragorn and Boromir both enjoy that Boromir has this task perhaps a bit too much.

Arranged Marriage - Political Alliance

• The king marries the oldest son of the steward to reward them for their service – makes sense! Did Aragorn offer it or did Denethor push for it? Were Boromir and Aragorn already in love?

Arranged Marriage - Mutual Pining Between Spouses

• As above, but Boromir isn’t sure if Aragorn really wants him after the ring fiasco (and potentially after what Denethor did, if he still reacted the same way – in any case he probably isn’t hospitable towards Aragorn) or if he just wanted to honour the job his family had done over the years. Likewise, Aragorn doesn’t know if Boromir holds a grudge towards him for taking the throne from him or if he thinks of him like Denethor does.

Arranged Marriage - Must Produce an Heir

• As above but with mpreg! Would prefer pregnant Aragorn here. Obviously they need to get started on furthering Aragorn’s line. Do they fall in love while trying as it gives them a connection, or do they stop once they have done their duty and Aragorn is pregnant? Maybe because they think the other person didn’t want it for anything but that? How do they come together again?

Mpreg

• Would prefer Aragorn pregnant. Them conceiving a child after marrying for love would be great, but maybe it also happens accidentally on the road? Not easy riding against Mordor six months pregnant, but you do what you gotta do...

A/B/O - Omegas are Rare

• Would love omega Aragorn basically being the same badass he always is. Maybe Boromir, coming from a society with a very stiff structure, is not used to (coincidentally very tall, very strong, very handsome, not that anyone’s noticing) omegas running around the muddy forest with sword and frayed cloak. He should disapprove, but...


• Aragorn kept his heats suppressed as long as he could with herbs, but eventually he runs out. Knowing they have no time to lose, he asks if Boromir would help him work through it while the others rest.


• Boromir goes into a rut and Aragorn decides to offer himself to fix it as fast as possible. Bonus if it’s after the ring incident and Boromir is very conflicted and guilty.


• Omegas are very rare, a sign of the old blood of Númenor, almost legend by this point. Boromir has a lot of fun figuring out Aragorn’s preculiar biology.
